Air Connectors and Cables - Subminiature-C (Sub-C)
Connector to Cable assemblies are fitted with a Delrin® polymer 9-pin Sub-C female connector on one end, and non-terminated nine (9) PVC insulated wires / cables at the other. The 9-pin female connector mates directly to the air-side of our subminiature-C feedthroughs.
Air Service Connectors are made from a Delrin® polymer material and use either of the contacts listed below. Caution: Wires must be threaded through the connector back-piece before crimping contacts. Crimped contacts WILL NOT fit through back-piece holes.
Standard Contacts are made from a copper alloy and gold plated. They're recommended for use in our subminiature-C and subminiature-D vacuum and air-service connector products.
High Duty Cycle Contacts are standard contacts that have been reinforced with a stainless steel sleeve, which extends the contact's spring life. They're used in place of our standard contacts in applications requiring frequent and/or excessive plug/unplug cycles (3 or more cycles per day).
Subminiature-C Air-Service Cables and Connectors
AGP Connector to Cable assemblies are fitted with a Delrin® polymer 9-pin Subminiature-C female connector on one end, and non-terminated nine (9) PVC insulated wires / cables at the other. The 9-pin female connector mates directly to the air-side of AGP Subminiature-C feedthroughs.
Important: If making your own custom cable assemblies please note that cable leads must be threaded through connector back-piece before crimping contacts, as these will not fit through back-piece holes once crimped to wires.
AGP standard contacts are available for 26~30 or 20~24 AWG wire sizes. These contacts made of a gold-plated copper alloy and recommended for use with Delrin® Subminiature-C (Sub-C) and Subminiature-D connectors.
AGP High Duty Cycle Contacts are "standard contacts" that have been reinforced with a stainless-steel sleeve, which extends the typical contact's spring life. They're used in place of our standard contacts for applications requiring frequent and/or extensive plug/unplug cycles (3 or more cycles per day). Crimping tools, wire strippers, and other wiring accessories are also available for purchase here.

- Electrical ratings are maximum test values, with feedthrough's vacuum side at ≤ 1x10-4 Torr. Feedthroughs are intended for instrumentation applications carrying low level signal voltage and current.
- For proper heat dissipation, a maximum of 20% of the pins on a feedthrough may carry the maximum pin current at any given time.
- Delrin® is an Acetal Homopolymer (Polyoxymethylene POM) thermoplastic.
- Overall assembly ratings must be adjusted to that of its lowest rated component.
